Meet The Team

With over 50 years of remote expeditionary experience between them, our three man team have travelled the globe, living in some of the most remote regions on our planet.

We have unrivalled logistical support, all team members are medically trained and our emergency evacuation procedures are second to none. All expedition activities are conducted under the “umbrella” of the casualty evacuation and safety plan for each environment.

Where appropriate, helicopter evacuation facilities are put in place. Having over 50 Years of expeditionary experience between them, the team are trusted by Film, TV, and VIP’s around the world. We have 35 years of jungle skills in the Borneo jungle alone, giving us outstanding local knowledge with instructional support given by local Iban tribe members.

Garry has a very much hands on friendly approach and accompanies each and every Buzz Adventures trip no matter how small. He’s always on hand to offer advice on trips and ensures your booking proceeds seamlessly. Garry has spent the majority of his life travelling the world, visiting some of the worlds most remote places from the coldest Arctic to the jungles of Borneo. He has also climbed some of the worlds highest peaks. He has climbing, mountaineering, survival and medical skills. He is also a qualified ski instructor, first Aid, PADI qualified diver and instructor. He has been taught by some of the world’s leading bushcraft/survival instructors, including the TV personality Ray Mears. Garry’s great personality and expedition skills and knowledge make him an invaluable member of the team.

Profile

Stani’s office and playground is the great outdoors. Trained as a Physical Training and Outdoor Pursuits Educator and after a successful career in the army as a Physical Training Instructor and Military Mountaineering Instructor, Stani is based in the French alps, and heads up and co ordinates our French trips. As a Wilderness Survival Skills Specialist, UIMLA International Mountain Leader, Military Rock Climbing Instructor and Wilderness Guide, Stani has guided people from all walks of life into many wilderness environments across the world; from military personal to media production crews and from school teachers to CEO’s from a world leading oil company. Be it jungles, mountains, deserts or arctic, Stani is at home in any wilderness environment.

Team Role: Expedition Co-ordinator

Interesting Fact: Woody has worked in varying roles with television personalities such as Ray Mears, Bear Grylls, Jake Gyllenhaal, Will Ferrell, Ben Fogle, Steve Bagshaw and Tara Shine.

“Woody”, as he is known to friends and family, has spent all his working life travelling the world, working with, and learning the bushcraft and survival skills of many of its first nations peoples. With over 30 years experience he has researched, planned and participated in expeditions to some of the planet’s most remote regions. Supporting this experience he has many formal instructor level qualifications. These include being a full time Certified Wilderness Guide, and Guide Instructor, registered with the Professional Association of Wilderness Guides and Instructors (PAWGI), Multiple Specialist Wilderness Guide Qualifications and international tracking qualifications that have seen him involved in search and rescue tasks in places as far flung as the slopes of Mount Kenya to the jungles of Borneo.
